my first mel's mix

my first mel's mix, so easy to work with. planted onions, carrots and beets today. the cheaps way to make raised beds is buy cull lumber at home depot, which is 51 cents per board sometimes they have 2x6x4 or 2x8x4 so for $ 2.00 and some screws you are ready to start.

Nice! Your trellis looks good too!

I've come to love the cull cart. I cant go by HD without looking at it... and sometimes I go just to look at it! Sometimes they give me stuff that is still useful as well. The last time I went, I scored (4) 2x12s that were 2ft each. That will give me a few squares that are nice and deep as I currently don't have any. My HD says they don't sell the very thin wood strips (lathe) but it (or something similar) is actually used in packing their pallets of wood so they will give me those for free as well. I I love you HD and the cull cart.
