A Big Hoosier Hello!

Post  FloopTreque on Sun 05 May 2013, 5:33 pm

We're just starting our first garden this year and a friend recommended SFG. So far, it sounds a little too good to be true but based on the following and loyalty shown here in the forum I'm very optimistic.

We have a ton to learn but everyone is excited to have some sort of harvest, no matter how big or small. My biggest fear at this point is pests and heat. I have a lot more reading to do for that.

Wish me luck!

Welcome~

Hi FloopTreque~

I am also just beginning with a SFG. I have spent an awful lot on initial set up. My wife and daughter have said, "You better have the best vegetables in the county!"

Oddly enough, it was my wife that found out about SFG. She actually bought me Mr. Bartholomew's latest book from Amazon.

Now that we are seriously in to it... she has very high hopes. Oh the pressure! LOL

Well, I do understand you optimism. I also hope for great things. And... I also am afraid of pests and heat.

However, right here in this forum, there are many solutions (via various threads) to pests and heat problems. There are so many very experienced gardeners here. It really is reassuring.

So... Welcome... and enjoy your garden!~

glad you\'re here
