Having a hard time finding 5 different compost varieties

Post  kmarie on 5/6/2013, 1:42 pm

I have searched my closest Walmart, Lowes, Menards, and Meijer and this is what I have found so far. Do you think these would work for at least 3 of the types of compost needed?
Composted Manure with Organic Matter- Made by New Plant Life
Mushroom Compost with Organic Matter- Made by New Plant Life
Organic Humus and Manure- Made by Earth Gro

Also, what about using a garden soil mix for vegetables such as Miracle Grow as one option?

Miracle gro potting mix is not part of the Mel's mix recipe and the nutrients will be gone in two months time.

Check your local craigslist.

Try farmers markets. dairy and horse farms. go to the grain store locally and ask if they know any goat or llama farmers.
