Greetings from (currently) sunny Washington!

Hi everyone happy hi ,

New to the forum, but this will be our third square foot garden. My boyfriend and I have moved multiple times in the past few years, but we love to garden so have managed to get something going at each new location. This season is our biggest yet: we have set up five 2x6 beds, one with a plastic hoop house made from PVC pipes and plastic sheeting.



Inside the house we have tomatoes, peppers, and other starts going


Here is a picture of the peas we have going:


This year we are more adventurous/ambitious than we've been in the past, trying new veggies: lima beans, dwarf eggplant, onions from seed (yikes!), carrot, winter squash and melon - very exciting! Very Happy

Anyway, I'm so glad to have found this forum! It has already been so informative, and I'm looking forward to learning from all the other square foot gardeners here! Smile

sarah465, let me be the first to welcome you to the forum. I'm new to both gardening and sfg, for all intents and purposes. The people here are very friendly and knowledgeable. I think you'll like it. I have learned much since coming here, and much more do I have yet to learn. Very Happy

Welcome to this informative forum. I am brand new to SFG and I have learned so much in just two months.

I have had some missteps, but mainly I have had lots of success. There are so many experienced and helpful gardeners here.

I think you will enjoy the time spent reading here.

P.S. My daughter's name is Sarah. It is the favorite name of both my wife and myself.
