Mel's mix from HD

Post  TexasTracy on 5/14/2013, 8:01 pm

Does anyone else that has purchased this think that it drains too fast/doesn't hold moisture well? I've made my own MM up til this Spring and this mix seems much drier that mine was. For instance, I watered last night for about 20 minutes and tonight (after temps only in the 80's) the boxes are dry as can be.

Did you water it in well? You have to saturate the mix well when you put it in your beds, then when you water, it will soak down to the root area much easier and be much more effective.

I wet it down thoroughly as I was putting
it in the boxes.
