22 April update of Dorothy's garden

Have almost all of our backyard (25 by 66 feet) in garden and a small fruit and citrus orchard. Have six citrus in back and 3 more in the front yard. Have a total of 12 fruit trees (mostly different varieties of peaches). Have maxed out the yard for adding new boxes. It has been so easy to plant this spring as all I have to do now is add compost to the original Mel's mix. Added squash in several pots so they would have room to spill over into an open area. Not shown are the eggplant, cucumbers, peppers, strawberries, raspberry vine and a second asparagus bed.
Also added lots of hanging flower baskets to brighten up the yard. The grape vines have exploded so I have started to thin out some branches on top of the arbor to let in more air and light, also have clipped 1/3 to 1/2 off the bottom of each grape cluster to help the grapes get larger.

Love the roses

Hi Dorothy,
Love the photos of your roses, we have a lot and they are my pride and joy though the sfg is catching up.
Just at the end of our season now with the last flowering then prune and put to bed until spring.
I like how you have planted your melons etc in their own spots.

What wonderful eye candy!
I never realized until this yr (as a first time gardener) the beauty of vegetable plants! I've never paid attention to be honest, but the broccoli, artichoke, squash flowers.....all so pretty!
And your roses....sigh.....so gorgeous!
