New SFG in Northern Virginia...wish us luck!

Post  yankeehomestead on 6/3/2013, 10:21 am

We read the book last year and built our first 4x4 box as an experiment. This year, we built four 4x8 boxes and a variety of trellises. We planted carrots, tomatoes, herbs, beans, melons, pumpkins, squash and marigolds. So far, so good!

Welcome to the forum. So glad you have the book and are having success. Wish it had been around when I was gardening in Fairfax. Where inNOVA are you located.

We're in Loudoun County, between Leesburg & Purcellville. Beautiful area! Gardening here is a bit different from our previous locale in the Dallas/Fort Worth area Very Happy but we're getting the hang of it.

I know the area a little. My daughter lives between Purcellville and Harper's Ferry.
