Rapidtest Soil Meter - Ph, moisture, sunlight, fertilizer

Post  grownsunshine on 7/26/2013, 2:02 pm

I just bought a 4 way soil test meter from Rapitest on ebay. I should have asked here befpre I bought it. Does anyone use these? Is anyone familiar with this brand? How accurate are they? I'm sure having the soil tested by a lab is more accurate, but I wanted a moisture meter also.

The accuracy of inexpensive units like these may be good, may not be good. Did it come with calibration instructions? The bast way to get definite values of pH and nutrient cont of the mix is to send it to a lab.

You could send a sample to the lab and then take readings with the meter to see how accurate it is.
