Sky view of my garden and greenhouse!1

Post  martha on 8/25/2013, 1:52 pm

Photograph taken from the rooftop of my new shed! I'm in pig heaven this summer!

New shed, view 1:

View 2:

(Hard to figure out somethings, but the streak of white is something draped across the wheelbarrow. This was originally supposed to be just a short little shed for wheelbarrow storage, but my wonderful summer assistant went a little overboard, but stayed within budget, so okay !

Oh that is a great view of your beautiful garden!  It looks like it is doing so good!  Now that's a shed more than worthy to call itself one!

I'm still salivating over that great green house.

Nice shed! I love it when you can go bigger but stay within budget!

Yes, huge difference! I think they came down 3 days after you saw the place.

CC, I can't believe I actually got my greenhouse. And the shed!

Tricia, the kid that built the shed and assembled the greenhouse took the photo from  the shed roof!

It's looking great, Martha.  You have mentioned that you're using some of your harvest in your restaurant's menu items.  I think you could cut costs even more by putting up a sign: "You pick it. We cook it."  Razz

(J/K  Customers would either lose their appetite from grazing while harvesting, or would unknowingly damage your plants.)

How 'bout a sign that says, "Back off! I'l tell you what's ready to eat!"

that should be warm and welcoming!

I'm also thrilled because I was so positive that all the tomatoes were going to ripen we were closed this past week, but when I was there yesterday, they are really just starting to be ready.

Wow so green and pretty!

Your tomatoes are just now starting to ripen? Is that normal for where you live? Or did you just plant really late-season tomatoes?

Definitely not normal, Marc! We didn't have nights reliably above 50 until the middle of June, and we have had a much cooler August than normal.

Camp, I'll try to tell you what varieties!

Currant tomatoes - red, sweet pea, white, sweet pea, gold rush
Mexico midgets

Cherries - black, chocolate, sungold, Aunt Ruby's green cherries, Matt's Honkin' Big cherries, yellow, tommytoes, isis, stupid

Medium and bigger - babywines, red zebras, black krim, black from Tula, purple Russian, White Beauty, Aunt Ruby's full size, Wild Galapagos, Green Doctor's, Rose de Berne, tastily, indigo rose.

Great photos.  I agree with Jimmy.  Where's all your 'stuff' that makes it a shed.  Mine is packed with plant pots, insect barrier, frost cloths, plastic, cartons, stakes, tools....you name it.

I hope you can put that greenhouse to good use for fall greens.  Nice!

funny post
Yeah, our shed is actually the landlord's, kinda shared for whenever he comes down, (ideally for the lawnmower and snowblower) so we have more cr-  I mean STUFF hidden behind the shed, and even more STUFF behind the chicken coop.
