3rd bed out of 5

Post  jimmy cee on 9/18/2013, 10:18 pm

This is a bed I was using for my garlic, soil's like cement now.
Going to cover it with 8-10 inches of MM, then comes spring I am devoting this bed entirely to shallots.
Their almost $4.00 per lb and my wife loves cooking with them, and I love eating what my wife cooks..
Cant lose there can I ??

I'm all for gardening up stuff that's expensive to buy in the store. That's one reason I really like growing things like basil, mint, oregano, and thyme. They charge a ridiculous amount per ounce, fresh, of those in the store, but they're generally so cheap and easy to grow at home.

I have to learn more about cooking with shallots. I just use onions.

Good luck!
