Hello from the SFV (Los Angeles)

Post  dclovrek on 10/17/2013, 1:16 pm

Howdy!  Have 70sf of raised beds for a couple years now.  Just planted/sowed most of our winter crops: beets, brussels sprouts, cabbage, broccoli, kale, lettuce, carrots, spinach, kohlrabi.  Trying to keep it organic while battling an infestation of red spider mites from some potatoes I just pulled out of the beds.

Good luck! And welcome!

In the SFV you should have a great long growing season. Keep us up on your tales of success or woe, and share some pictures if you can!

D Clovrek,  Welcome to the Forum!  glad you\'re here

You mentioned raised beds, but not if you are using the Square Foot Gardening method with Mel's Mix.  SFV is a great place to garden.
