Response to Quote

It looks like I am not the only one having trouble responding with a Quote.  I can only respond within the quote box.

I see the problem too.  Don't know why it's doing it, but give me a minute to put together a couple pictures for a simple workaround.

Is there a problem?

If you click the button pointed out in the first picture, it will switch your view between the two pictures shown.  Since the problem is in WYSIWYG (What You See Is What You Get), do your editing in the Code Mode for now.

Code Mode

WYSIWYG

Nice to know, or maybe not!  The word quote, in square brackets, creates the box.  /quote in brackets, ends the box.  You can put new text before quote or after /quote.

I just fixed a few quote boxes by moving the enclosed end quote.

I was playing with posting multiple pics in a thread. And having trouble. That was the first photo that popped up on my computer. It shows what the damage was after a bear raided my apiary.

This issue is a result of forum software upgrades made by the developers.  It's not anything we can resolve ourselves.

If you've been around the forum long enough, you've experienced this situation before: The developers make upgrades without notice, and then count on the end users (us) to report problems.  They are aware of this problem  and, based on past experiences, will have it resolved soon.  If anyone would like to follow along, you can read about it on forumotion's help forum.

http://help.forumotion.com/t128822-new-editor-in-your-administrative-panel

On the positive side, newer forum members are learning about Code Mode in the edit box.  Code mode is  generally easier to use than WYSIWYG when posting multiple pictures, even if you don't understand the code.

When did what happen? The bear? April last, when it was still cold out. That hive never quite recovered.

Poor ladies.  Poor you!

Do the bears get stung on their noses, and just not care? Or did you not think to ask them?
