Thank you, SFGers

Post  Judy McConnell on 12/20/2013, 7:40 am

While I haven't posted much this year, I have read all your posts about SFG.  The lessons I've learned from your experiences will lead me correctly in 2014.

You taught me about dehydrators and their usefulness; about home-made MM vs commercial stuff; etc.etc.

This past year has seen a crisis in our home with the result that all the purchased seedlings were just "jammed" into my six 4'x8' beds.  As a result, I was able to can a few tomatoes because little else did well.  The beds were placed several years ago, using Mel's first book as a guide. Now with the new book, hoping that all will be better.

My main reason in posting this is to thank each one of you for posting about your ups and downs, to remind you that lessons are learned from your experiences.

I would also like to thank the folks here for all the help they provide. Not just the answers, but the encouragement, laughter, and cheering when we hold up a tiny ripe veggie like proud parents!
 thanks

Looking forward to 2014!

I'd like to thank everyone for the fellowship, entertainment and education, and not just regarding gardening. As an example, I got lots of feedback and handholding regarding our frozen pipes and malfunctioning well this unusually chilly winter. It's helpful and reassuring to have good folks to bounce ideas (and the occasional worry or puzzle) off of.

I also want to thank all my forum "family". The ups and downs and joys and frustrations show what a great support group we have. I miss many of the former posters and if any of you check in, please leave a post to let us know you are still with us even if you can't post frequently.

I have learned so much in the a bit over one year I've been here - I'm still reading old topics when I run across an issue.  There's a wealth of information stored here!

Thanks for the laughs and amusement.

Thanks for the rescues - aphids, powdery mildew, mosaic virus….

Thanks for the recipes - mmmmmmmmmm!

Mostly thanks for the good company for sharing our gardening joys and sorrows!

Merry Christmas and a Happy, Healthy and growing New Year

Ok my memory mashed up the words of this old song, But the first couple words We are family,  is correct!  lol    It was popular way back when, but listening to it now, I admit is rather boring.

Has,
That song was sooo popular in the old disco days, and it was nice to take a break and listen to it, cause I was still stuck mostly in rock n roll!
