Santa Came early

Post  johnp on 12/23/2013, 10:07 am

Out of town for a few days but last Wed. I was out filling up the bird baths while it was warm enough to hook up the hoses. I wasn't supposed to be home (I do work sometimes) but I needed to look at a local project and decided to take the rest of the day off. I live at the end of a dead end road so traffic is rare. Down the road came a white van going fast. He pulled in our drive and a man in a red shirt came out and went to the side door of the van. Out came a large yellow box. I told him to leave it at the end of the walk. He said merry Christmas and left. On the box was a picture of a Presto 23 Qt. pressure canner.  Very Happy  Very Happy

No didn't wallop anyone with it...it's far too heavy to lift it that high .

The new thread arrived at canning  40 minutes after you posted .... My excuse is I'm a slow thinking slow typist.   Wink

Thanks all, under a lot of "pressure" now to try it out. The canner is heavier than the reviews made it out to be so it looks good so far. I've read the directions several times so I think I'm ready. Need to fine something to can.
