Seed Catalog arrived!

Post  d_holck on 2/1/2014, 12:07 am

Offering $25 off any order.  If it's under $25, it's free. Can't hardly pass that up, but suddenly thinking I should start a plan.  This will be my first year at SFG-ing, so I'm really thinking of keeping it simple.

Some peppers.  Some tomatoes (will likely buy a couple plants come Spring.) Maybe some beans, maybe some zucchini.  Any thoughts of helpful companion plants or how to organize this?

On the other hand, given that there's 14" of snow in my yard, and another 8" predicted by this time tomorrow, I'll admit that the arrival of the catalog confirms that warmer days are ahead.

Garden planners are fairly common on the big gardening sites. Some are on a trial basis, and if you want to, you can just get all your value out of them and then quit after the free month. Mother Earth News has one, for example.
