Had a Great Day Today

Post  rabbithutch on 2/24/2014, 4:15 pm

I located a local source for coarse vermiculite - Empire Seed Company, Temple, Texas.  Yes, I submitted them to the US database with permission of the manager.  They are great folks to deal with.  I should have six 4-cu.ft. bags by Thursday afternoon.  Paid $30 per bag

I also got 6 bales of sphagnum peat moss at Lowe's for $11.00 and four 40-lb. bags of Black Kow composted cow manure.

AND - the 10" brad point drill bits I needed to drill holes for the corner pins in my beds came in today's mail.  I already have the lumber cut and notched.  I still have to treat the insides with linseed oil which I have on hand.  I expect to get them assembled and positioned where I want them and have them filled by the weekend.  We will go in search of transplants on Saturday.

Life is good!
