Hey Everyone,
First timer to square foot gardening here. We try to do a garden every year, but this is our first year to try SFG... and I have a question..
I just planted garlic cloves, and I can't seem to find much info about how long before they are ready to harvest. did i plant them at the wrong time? we live in far north texas if that helps

thanks for the help!

Hi! I would like to hear about this, too. I haven't found garlic starts anywhere local. A year or two ago I tried to plant a sprouted clove from the head I bought at the supermarket, and it never went anywhere.

I have no direct knowledge of your region but found this site that may be helpful.

Hi and welcome to the Forum,
Where in North Texas are you? I'm in Frisco, north of Dallas.
... I've never grown garlic myself but I do believe it needs to be planted in the Fall. Here are 2 YouTube videos about planting and growing it.

hey tim,
we are in anna.. about 8 miles north of mckinney. we used to live in tx for about 2 years. then decided we wanted more of a country feel. Smile
from what ive been reading i prob should have put them in during the fall and let them go over the winter... i guess ill have to see what happens. i guess i could just let them go until next spring if they never sprout this year.
what area of frisco are you in? we used to live in panther creek off of eldorado and hillcrest area.

I know where Anna is. That's not that far away.
I'm off of Hillcrest and Lebanon - the south west corner.
