Hello from Milwaukee

Post  ciscomonkey on 5/20/2014, 3:20 pm

Hey everyone!  Just stopping in to say Hi.  We're just getting started with SFG here and will be building our beds this coming weekend.

We've been doing hydroponic and some small scale aquaponics out of our basement for a few years.  Mainly for messing around with the different systems and testing out what works and doesn't for us as we wanted to grow food year round.  That and the fact that two small children made it hard to actually get anything done outside the house during daylight hours. Smile

Looking forward to getting outside and getting this going.  Our girls have been relentless on checking on our seedlings that will be going into our beds.  Right now we're planning on at least 2 4x4 beds, but are considering doing a 4x8 and another 2x8 (or longer) at the side of our garage just for vine crops and garlic for over the winter.

Absolutely do!  Have everything for our MM and beds as well.  Just need to mix it all up and cut up some of this red cedar pile sitting in the garage.

Hello Milwaukee!  This is Anna from Pewaukee!  I just joined the forum today and I am battling creeping charlie - boy does that stuff ever grow!
Have fun with building your garden beds.  Right now I have 3 beds that are 4 by 8 feet.
I look forward to exchanging ideas with everyone!
