Pumpkin Trellis Ready for Business

Post  Pappy Slip on 7/2/2014, 6:02 am

The strength of this design is amazing. My honey is wanting a grape trellis, I will probably use a similar design.

Oh Pappy,
I'm in awe.  Everything is very beautiful. It's functional. I want your pumpkin trellis.  I would need construction classes to do what you did and to understand the weight bearing aspects.
I could mess up building with kids Lincoln Logs.

Very nice, Pappy. I knew you'd make something interesting looking. That trellis seems huge; but then again, pumpkins can be huge too. It will be interesting to see whether you get a giant hanging off that trellis!

Thank you Marc! I'm excited! I have never seen suspended pumpkins, well only in photos. If I can get one up there I will be tickled.

+10!  That looks fantastic, Pappy!  I'll have to show it to Mike.  (I see his honey-do list getting longer again, lol!)

Wait, wait!!  What kind of pumpkins are you growing up that most beautiful trellis?  Should be stunning--can't wait for photos.  Last year we grew winter squashes on cattle panel arches and had to use slings to support them.  Nonna
