25 Free Project Plans Book

Post  ralitaco on 9/13/2014, 7:35 pm

Found this while researching painting treated wood.

Yellawood makes treated wood and there was the following link for 25 free wood plans.
There are some that can be used for SFG for sure and others that can be used to sit around and enjoy our SFG's

http://www.yellawood.com/projects/plans-book-index.aspx

They do ask for your name and email, but once you enter them it automatically downloads the book of plans.

Soooo...can you paint treated wood?

Yes, you can certainly paint treated wood.  But keep in mind that the chemicals used can migrate thru the paint &/or plastic.  So please don't use treated wood for anything that will have food or medicinal plants in them.

Thanks Atlanta Marie,
My treated wood is the 4x4 legs. I just bought them and they are very heavy, very green and very moist. The sides of my box will be Untreated 2x8's. When I finish my TT, I wanted to paint the entire thing one color, like Gwenifer...just maybe not the "watermelon" pink. Very Happy
