Be Happy

Post  Razed Bed on 4/7/2015, 6:09 pm

i am sure you attempted to help your dad when you were a wee lad and your help was not perfect either.  be happy you have a dad that you can still do things with and who still knows who you are.

the veggies you harvest will still be yummy.

Nan, Did you put down weed fabric or cardboard under the box? If you did and the nut grass came through it, elevating the box is an option. Making a raised bed or short table top. Just curious, why did you make the box 12" tall? Is it for carrots, parsnips or potatoes? Something that needs the depth?

No, I did not put weed cloth underneath the box.  My son's boxes did not have weed cloth and I copied him.  The 12" depth is because I had a choice of 10" or 12" and I wanted to grow carrots and daikon.  This SFG is teaching me quite a bit.  It is so true that you don't realize how much you don't know until you start learning and doing.
