Leaf Lettuce

Post  TexasAggie on 2/14/2015, 10:39 pm

I have some leaf lettuce in one of my squares, and I have never grown some. Do I pull up the entire plant are harvest the individual leafs?

Hi TexasAggie,

I suggest harvesting the outer leaves.  The plant will continue to grow and produce more leaves up until the time it bolts (wants to go to seed and turns bitter).  Enjoy that fresh lettuce!
