Hydro gel

Post  schristi69 on 4/10/2015, 12:00 am

Just saw this video on using the gel in diapers to maintain moisture in your soils.  May have to try this this summer in my pots and planters.  You may have to copy and paste the link

The beads are also sold by the bag at Home Depot for about $9.  Smile

intelligentirrigationllc or aquajet used to sell a product from a distributor that did the same thing. It would hold water and the roots would grow through it, using water as it need it. esp helpful when it hot and dry. he quit carry it, he said that some of the his test plants seem to have drawn in the substance into the inside of the fruit, like zucchini for example. This was a major concern and too risky to offer it anymore to the public or provide the food that was grown with this product for his family. I can't recall the name of the product.
