Hello from Missouri

Post  Ozarkite on 5/16/2015, 10:09 pm

Many years ago, watched Mel on PBS, loved the show, ordered his book, and had good luck with a new way to garden.

Now, with a small 3 ft x 6 ft raised planter, I am starting again, with the new method. A little late here to be planting, but with 18 squares, I know Mrs. Ozarkite and I will have some fresh produce, and a few flowers, here and there.

I plan on posting some photos of our SFG, as I get it completed and planted, as well as progress as I have time.

I have looked around a little on the Forum, and like the friendliness and helpful attitude shown...

Ozarkite and Mrs. Ozarkite,  Welcome to the Forum from California!  glad you\'re here  We are a friendly and gabby bunch here, and we LOVE photos!  The good, the bad and the ugly.  Doesn't matter.  We also like progress photos starting with the bare spot.  Glad you are trying the new SFG method.  If you need any help, we are here.  You are semi-near the neatest seed store,  Baker Creek near Mansfield.  Stopped by it on the way from StL to Branson for a family reunion.

PS  Husband is from Columbia.  His family grew fodder crops, corn and soybeans.  Don't worry, I have him well trained now.

Hi Mr. (& Mrs.) Ozarkite.  Welcome from Atlanta, GA!

Have to agree w/ Sanderson about being gabby & friendly.  Laughing

I have also found that all of us like to learn and give advice.  You can always learn from someone - even what NOT to do.  Wink

Welcome from Columbia. (As in north of Jeff City, not Bogata. Smile )

You've got plenty of time to get planting (for some stuff) at least.

This week (hopefully) I'll be putting out melons, tomatoes, peppers and corn. Last week would have been better, but with the rain and all it hasn't worked out.

With the forecast for the week, I'm starting to harden off my peppers and tomatoes today, and hope to plant late this week.
