Greetings from a new SFG'er.

Post  dczippo on 6/12/2015, 5:21 pm

My name is  Doug and I just registered today.  I found this book/community when I was researching raised bed gardening.  We now have two beds built but not as of the typing of this post.  That should be corrected before bedtime today.

I started this endeavor when my oldest son David requested a garden after having been diagnosed with brain cancer.  Our church actually donated the materials so we could get started.  David is mostly a vegetarian so this was a logical step for him.  When we found the potential health benefits to home grown organic food, we were quick to approve and act!

We look forward to this adventure!

Welcome!
We hope you feel a warm welcome here - especially for your son.

When food changes, everything changes.
Please reach out at any time - many of my very close friends have experienced a similar diagnosis.

Blessings and love - grow real food and eat to live, my friend.
We are happy you are here to grow more food in a small space using SFG and to reap the health benefits that you will bring to you and yours.

Hi Doug.  Welcome from Atlanta, GA!

My uncle just had surgery for a tumor they found on his brain, so I have a small idea of what you're all going thru.

You've got lots of support and people who will send positive energy your way.

Organic will be good for your son and the opportunity to work in the soil will be good for his soul.
