New pest

Post  johnp on 6/16/2015, 8:47 am

This is my first time  trying sweet potato slips, planted around the fifth of June. I have them in my greenhouse to give them more heat. I went to water this morning and on a new leaf was a bug I have never seen. I killed it and did not take a picture but it looked exactly like a smaller stink bug or squash bug but it was a light, bright green. Anyone have a suggestion  as to what it my be?

A true bug of some sort. http://www.insectidentification.org/true-bugs.asp

Thanks for the bug chart. I haven't found my exact critter but I killed it before looking at it closely.
