flower For those of us in the Northern Hemisphere, today is the longest day of sunlight, and longest time of twilight.  Enjoy it all!

Despite being just a couple days past a new moon last night, the sky wasn't completely dark at 10pm last night. I love it. I gotta soak up all the sunlight I can to help get me through our dismally dark winters.

(If only I could!)

Boffer, I suggest a battery system to store your solar energy.  Very Happy I'm the same way.

Every year this day always makes me feel sad.  I try not to think about it. Same with the first day of daylight savings time.  i abhor losing that one hour of daylight in the morning.

On a happy note, we had one and a quarter inches of rain today! That is something to celebrate!
cheers

Oh dear!  I feel the same way about it being the downward slide to Winter.  The opposite of what I feel on the shortest day of the year which lifts my spirits.

But I did have a good day in my garden, mowing the lawn, watering, pottering about, soaking up the sun, and shade  when I needed it.

Kept going indoors to see how the U.S. Open Golf was going,  I watch it as I learned to play gold and took it up for three years.  I am rather fascinated how one man can sit in the clubhouse after finishing, and have to rely on another man's effort whether to place his ball in the hole in one, two or three stroke, and fame and fortune comes of that. Very Happy

Rut-row is right, Marc!  But I was impressed that he could get to the whole thing without getting stuck.

On the upside, especially since I planted a bit late this spring, I have another chance to plant cool-weather crops!  FFD: 09/07.
