Is the slide show in the Portal working?

Post  boffer on 5/8/2010, 12:02 am

I just wondered-I'm trying something new.

The Portal link is in the green nav bar.

From what I can tell, it's working fine.

Well, I've found something else I didn't know was there -- the Portal. Yes the slide show is working and very nice it is -- is that the same one that appears under "latest topics" on each page?

Yes the slideshow looks great. The one in the portal is nice and big!

The one on the side of the forum is on the small side and turns a bit too quickly to really see the pictures well. Nice touch though!

Thanks for the replies and feedback. We'd like to showcase more of the members' photos. Just trying to figure out the best way. Picture viewing time is variable, and I have to figure out what length is best, and there are 44 different transition options to play with!

I just clicked on the link at the bottom of the Latest Topics list on the left. I like the speed of the thumbs. Is there anyway to retrieve some of the gallery from the old site? There were some impressive, creative gardens there. Smile

Like the mini slide show below the topics. Can more gardens be added? It looks like just a few pictures are being shown.
