Perrenials in a riased bed

Post  jimmy cee on 10/27/2015, 2:25 pm

Are perennials  in a raised bed that are growing nicely able to survive a frozen square ?
I know one of my herbs, (forgot which ) came back from being frozen solid last winter, chives did, I had one given to me by a friend, when I reworked my beds last season it was in a can and kicked around till this past spring. Came up nicely and still thriving.
My squares freeze solid, clear through.
I am placing some of my nicely growing items in my cold frame, hoping they will go further in the season.
Salvia, oregano, thyme, lavender are among them. I potted 4 rosemary plants to bring inside.
