Is it too early to plant tomatoes, eggplants, & peppers in Phoenix?

Are you prepared to cover them in the event of a late frost? Looks like your last frost date for 50% of the time is Feb 8. It's so exciting to finally set out the plants!! http://www.almanac.com/gardening/frostdates/AZ/Phoenix

My neighbor across the street ( Palm Creek, Casa Grande ) is putting his out tomorrow.
He goes to Show Low in May but someone cares for what he has. They come back in Oct. and he still has tomatoes. I don't know what he grows but I am going to ask him.

Sounds like a good idea. Do you have an automatic watering system? It would be fun to come back to some wild and woolly tomatoes, peppers, etc.

Hope you got something in the ground back in early Feb.  Weather has been super warm for this time of year.  Just picked up some mature tomato plants today and want to get them in the ground soon!

Do you use soaker line as your grid?  Nice SFG btw.  Are these transplants or did you start from seed?

Thank you. I do use the watering system as my grid. It's not made from soaker hoses. I purchased it from garden in minutes. They are excellent for watering and serve a dual purpose.

and yes all the plants in this box were started from seed indoors.
