Great article, full of surprises...and things that don't grow well for me even though my garden is prime for them...like blueberries Sad . I got to #25 and said, Alas, I can do that!! lol Wonder why zucchini isn't in there...I can't grow those either.

I think I need to reread it...I feel some motivation to try again coming on.

SR, Where will you get your blueberries? I ordered mine from White Flower farms in Massachusetts. There wew three varieties to an order, bareroot. The first batch failed they so sent me another batch and they failed too. Plus I had one that I bought at a local nursery. It died after one year. My soil is perfect for blueberries. I just don't understand it. Mad

I was hoping to get them from my local garden center. Tried to call them, but their sketchy winter hours elude me....You should have the ideal situation for blueberries, acidic, well drained soil, cool not cold....try again.

I am going to use some of these resources to make my choices: Nan Whatserface in Eat Your Yard says highbush varieties work in my climate. They grow like crazy in Michigan, but they have sandier soil.
