Thanks for sharing these Kay & Mellen.

Any suggestions for a company to use for a first time seed catalog user?

I am a relative newbie, and I like Pinetree seeds and Bakers Creek.  They have appropriate seed numbers for SFGers, (Johnny's is a great catalog, but I think it is more for commercial or large scale growers) and they have GMO info, and organic stuff, and gorgeous descriptions that allow you to make some good decisions (Especially for us short season growers).

My 2 top picks, not in order.  They both are great!  And wonderful customer service.

Like SR, I will be using Baker Creek. They have been great in responding to my questions via email. This will be my first time ordering from a seed catalog supplier.

I do my bulk ordering from Baker. RT, Some of us ordered their Whole Seed Catalog 2017. Otherwise, their Annual Seed Catalog 2017 is sufficient. Drool I love you

+1  My first year of catalog ordering was mostly from Pinetree and Bakers Creek. I was happy with, and would recommend, both. This year I'll be ordering from Bakers Creek again, but I'll also be trying out Tradewindsfruit which I found through a different seed company list that was posted here, because I like the prices and wide variety they offer.

BTW the name is Baker Creek not Bakers Creek (i.e., no "s" on Baker).

Their website is http://www.rareseeds.com/

I am in Canada and it is cheaper for me to buy from them than from Canadian seed companies even though I have to take into account the exchange rate on the Cdn $. Go figure.

Whoops! Thanks for the correction. I bet I've made that error elsewhere. Maybe I should just stick to 'BC'...
