Welcome! Tidying the garage is a great place to start if you can't be outside. I wish I'd spent more time sorting out my stuff when the weather was uncooperative. I've wasted a lot of time trying to figure out where I stashed various supplies and equipment.

Welcome Tidying from Ottawa, Canada. You will find this to be a friendly and very helpful forum.  By the way, I am originally from the West Midlands as well ... specifically Stoke-on-Trent (the Potteries).

Greetings Carl , I'm a Yorkie living in South Wales at the west end of the M4.

There are many benefits from using only Mel's " All new square foot gardening " system  ( aka  ANSFG ) .

I for one would never ever go back to the old allotment style row garden,  even if I were paid to.
If you don't have any of his books  look at the info in my strap lines .

ANSFG'ers from  all over the world are encouraged to use them .... so we are singing from the same song sheet .

In the books mentioned in my strap lines there is all the info that you will ever need to do square foot gardening Mel  Batholomew  style .,  You simply have to re read the books several times to take on board what you missed previously .

Welcome Carl.  I'm going on my fourth season of SFG now, and I love it!  It's probably the only way I can realistically garden in Georgia due to our rock solid red clay.  Enjoy your time here!

Carl ... Wow, only 30 minutes away from where I lived until 1957 ( along time ago).

I hope you didn't mind me calling you "Tidying" in my previous post.  I saw "Welcome! Tidying ..." in Beetles post and just went from there not realizing he was starting a new sentence with the word Tidying. Embarassed

Maybe "Tidying" will stick as your nickname on the forum. Mine is TD (short for Trolleydriver).
