How many months (at this time of the year) will it take to compost? The worms should help speed up the process, right?

I made the beds in late winter. I been adding bags leaves to the bed approx every two weeks during the raining season. It has not got hot , but broke down into  smaller pieces,. it gone down some, maybe due to removal of  the air.
