Cracked Potato

Post  donnainzone5 on 8/1/2016, 9:21 pm

I harvested a smallish cracked potato this afternoon, along with a larger one that has scale.

I understand that scale is harmless, although I intend to peel that one.

However, the one that's cracked is another question; thoughts?

I have used some pretty crappy potatoes before.  I think as long as it looks and smells OK, it is.  What say others?

Peel that section REALLY well. But, yeah, it should be okay as long as you do that...
