I make a spaghetti squash Mac n cheese - all I add is a powdered cheddar cheese mix from Winco until it gets nice and thick.  No measurements because it all depends on how much moisture is in the spaghetti squash.  Salt and pepper to taste and dig in!

Whoa! Sounds fabulous! Don't know what Winco is but do you know the brand of the powdered cheese?

Winco is a low-cost grocery chain that has a really nice bulk foods section in their stores.  It's a dry powdered cheddar cheese sauce mix.  I would think you could find something similar elsewhere.

I was just looking up how to keep my spaghetti squash noodles from turning to mush.

Then was checking if it'll do as a winter crop here and it appears it may be.

You are in that winter growing zone like Arizona. Lots of "summer" produce grown in AZ and Mexico during the winter.

goat cheese, spinach and tomatos

I cut in half, seed, then put on baking sheet, add some green onion, a handful of spinach, some halved cherry tomatoes, drizzle with olive oil, oregano and top with goat cheese.  Bake until fork tender.

I Killed It!

My Beautiful Spaghetti Squash Plant that I was so proud of, Started getting some Powdery Mildew so I broke out the baking soda well I guess I got it to strong  Anyone have a good recipe for immature spaghetti squash ? I bought a packet of seeds and have replanted in the same square,  the packet said 70 days to harvest so I still have time, if the heat doesn't kill it, It's showing 89* in the shade in my back yard and the sensor I have at ground level in the garden is showing 117* but it's in the sun now.

Wait a minute....you spritzed them with baking soda and they fell off? Shocked
Btw, I spritzed PM with diluted milk. But I can't grow spaghetti squash due to SVB in these parts so I can't help you with a recipe. Sad

I spritzed the plant with one tablespoon baking soda to one quart water, I went out as the sun was going down in the morning the leaves was turning brown I hosed it down with a sprayer on the hose but it didn't help the plant died! so I cut the fruit off. You say You use diluted milk to spray for powdery mildew may I ask what is the ratio is, and I assume Your using dairy milk  drink almond milk. Thanks for the recipe I will try it tonight.

Oh I really don't have a milk spritz recipe. I fill a spritzer bottle with water and dump some 20 yr old powdered milk into it. Laughing I think 1 to 4 or 5 would work. Or you could google it and find a recipe online.

Yeah, I use milk and water basically even dilution 1:1.  I think you can freeze cooked spaghetti squash, but it loses some flavor and gets a bit watery, just a quick google...

The milk spray works great.

Thank You so much for the recipe sanderson it was very good, and to You Scorpio for the milk spray ratio I will out first thing in the morning to give it a try I bought a quart of milk so I would be ready.
