Bountea Compost Tea - Got it!!!

Post  dstack on 10/22/2016, 9:49 am

I'm still a newbie to compost tea, and I've been experimenting with my recipes, but I've thought how nice it would be to try Bountea started by John Evans in Alaska who is in the Guinness Book of World Records for growing the largest veggies.  I'd also like to try Boogie Brew.

I work in production at AsSeenOnTV.pro, and occasionally we get garden product.  These products are often given to me in the end...  Very Happy  including Potwheelz.  BTW, in that commercial you'll see me, my TV wife (not really), as well as my (real) mother-in-law... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AwzQoJGOrXc

This past Monday, I was given a box of the Bountea products, including their air pump!  It's funny since the co-worker had no idea how much that meant to me and had no idea what compost tea is. In addition, I had someone look up who fronted the company and there's no "Bountea", or even "Organic Bountea" in the database!  LOL  HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO ME!!! (Oct. 14)

With all that said, I'm brewing my first batch, and this is a bacterial based brew, and I look forward to seeing how this all goes.

QUESTION:  Have you tried Bountea CT, and what are your thoughts?

Here's a video on the how their fungal and bacterial based CTs are brewed, as well as more on their other products that I also get to try...

dstack,
QUESTION:  Have you tried Bountea CT, and what are your thoughts?

I have use bountea  for bacteria and fungi. I believe I made a post about it in the past. I like it, but was a little expansive for me. I thought the plant response was very good. I changed over to boogie brew for their one stop shopping that contains everything you need. The price is good. These are the only two teas I would use that demonstrate the kind of results were looking for in our plants. There may be others , I don't know.

I did a forum search before posting this, and for some reason it came up with no results. Anyway, thanks for the feedback.  You used both foliar and drench, right?  My only regret this weekend is that in my rush I forgot to drench some fruit trees.  At least everything got sprayed that I wanted, and the SFG boxes got both.

MY ANALYSIS SO FAR:
I'm surprised that it didn't stink like my own brew does.  Since I do this in our laundry room sink (off the patio), the family was happy about no offensive odors.

I definitely had to use vegetable oil (as recommended) to calm down the foam/froth...

Finally, I can certainly see why they recommend a 10/1 dilution rate for foliar sprays, while it's 8/1 for drench applications.  I still has sediment that collected, on some of the leaves.

SuperStart mix

Post  dstack on 10/24/2016, 11:13 am

I also applied their SuperStart mix to the weak spots in our lawn as one of the many recommended uses. I noticed that it consists of mostly humid acid, with about 10% molasses.  That's good to know once I run out to use for:
- young seedlings
- avoid transplant shock
- revitalize soil life and fertility

The only thing I could find was compost tea recipes
Actually you're the last post in that thread.
The topic made be buried in some thread like jimmie cee "microbes, you gotta see this" thread.

I knew I saw Bountea somewhere, and that's why I was a bit frustrated when the search didn't catch it.

We have a celebrity!!

I met up with an old aggie/viticulture friend from college and he gave me 4 products from Bio-Flora to try.  I will post my experiments in a separate thread.
