Winter Harvest

Post  sanderson on 10/28/2016, 8:28 pm

After our nice little rain, I thinned-harvested these.  I'll be blanching and freezing most of these:  cilantro, NZ spinach, bok choy and some of the kale.
The rest of the rainbow chard, kale and green chard.  (PS - The Coke bottles in the back are from company for recycling.)

Do you know what went wrong? How did you freeze them?

No, just pure laziness!  Didn't do it.  I could have frozen the kale and beet greens....Ate all the spinach.

Sanderson, the greens are beautiful. Did you mean fall harvest, not winter harvest? Were in the 90's here in dallas-ft. with area.

Winter-crop harvest would be more accurate. This will go on all winter, to a smaller degree as the temps drop and days get shorter.
