Another seed catalogue arrived today. This one is from Stokes Seeds. Years ago Mrs TD worked for this company in St.Catharines, Ontario about 10 miles from Niagara Falls.

I found a local "Seed library" for backyard and community gardens which is run by a group called Just Food. It looks like gardeners can "borrow" free seeds from the library and then "return" them at the end of the year to ensure others can practice as well. The seed library operates out of a nearby, local branch of my Ottawa City Library. Available seeds include Cilantro Santo, Red Deer Tongue Lettuce, Black Seeded Simpson Lettuce, French Breakfast Radish, Orca Beans, Provider Beans, Mammoth Sunflower, Bloomsdale Spinach, Cascadia Pea, Cherry Belle Radish, Dill Dukat, Butternut Waltham Squash, Dwarf Champion Tomato, Pink Boar Tomato, Mini Rose Tomato.  The Just Food group is also looking for volunteers to help manage the seed libraries. I need to find out more about this and when seeds will be made available.

Re: 1st Seed Catalog Arrived :)

I tried to put a 2018 seed catalog on the end table next to my reclining chair.  It was so stacked with previous catalogs that it slid off.  So I had to look thru 3 years of catalogs so I could keep the most recent one from each of the various seed companies that have sent me catalogs.  Some of these catalogs are 2017 and some are 2018,

That is weird, it is not upside down on this thread when I look at it.  I did accidentally take the picture with my I-phone upside down.  But then I emailed it to myself and when I saved it, I rotated it so it would be right side up.  And for me when I look at the picture, it is right side up.

Not upside down for me. SR, what device are you using to view the photo? Is it an iPad or iPhone?

iPad...it does do some strange things.  Also with the posting of pics, it is a difficult task.  All I got though!
