Sad News from Jimmy Cee

Post  sanderson on 1/10/2017, 4:26 pm

I am posting this with Jimmy's permission.  At first, he did not want anyone on the Forum to know and feel bad.  I offered to post when the short journey was over, feeling that members would want to know.

Mrs. Jimmy Cee passed away early this morning.  She was on hospice care and died peacefully.  Last Thursday, the Mrs. (as he so affectionately calls her) suffered a brain hemorrhage caused by a buildup of protein.  The hemorrhage was sudden and unexpected as she had no symptoms.  It was unrelated to the cancer she successfully beat last year.

Jimmy has the great support of his sons and is comforted by wonderful memories, permanent memories as he calls them.  While he sorely misses her, he is peaceful.

"My wife Irene has always had a direct connection with God, so I am not a bit concerned about that. And I do mean direct.
I was thinking of posting this, however I see no need for those happy folks out there to be feeling bad, gardening and talking about it is happy happenings. And please, Sanderson This is part of living and even though I am sad and hurting, I thank you for your previous replies...All will heal in time"

HUGS!

Thanks for letting us share in this Jimmy Cee. Praying for strength and peace and comfort for family and friends. We can still be "happy people" and take a moment to share in your grief and offer our support.

So sorry to hear Jimmy. You've been part of the group here for several years, and even though most of us will never meet, there is still a connection. I'm glad you have family and loved ones with you now. You're in my thoughts today Jimmy.

Jimmy, thank you for allowing us to share your grief... it is indeed a part of life, and many of us have also been through this, and have been blessed by the support and comfort of our community when we lose someone dear to us. Launching a barrage of blessings, of comfort, peace, and an endless parade of happy (funny? treasured?) memories of Irene.

Thanks to everyone, she officially died this Tuesday morning, however I believe Irene died at home last Thursday morning when I found her on the floor in our bedroom.
I am submitting a photo of us 20 + years ago, how much on the + side I can't recall.
We are just so happy she did not linger.

Yes, I agree. I loved her so much, I never realized it until she became ill. We had our ups and downs, however the downs somewhat always disappeared. Probably due to my wonderful nature...
The most spiritual and highly moral person I have ever met, and she got the worst part of the deal, however she never knew that when we were married..Irene raised my outlook on life and the way it should be lived, not that I was a very good student, looking back I am satisfied because unknowingly to me till recently, she was my life.
For the past year I have tended to her every needs, and there were many. The life pattern Irene followed slowly faded away even though she thought all was fine. She took care of our entire home life, along with all paperwork, cooking, cleaning, etc. Her excellent tastes for decorating is still seen inside. I took care of all maintenance and nothing was done without her approval. I was fine with that. One exception was my garden area, she never questioned anything I did there. After stopping fishing my pocket money all went to my garden, along with our love of mountain music while she played a mountain dulcimer as I accompanied  Irene with my banjo. We played at home by ourselves most of the time, except when attending local clubs jam sessions. Our life was rich over time, had to work at it, for the beginning was hard times as many out there are in the same boat. I have no doubt at all that all my blessings were due to her closeness to God. She prayed daily and always in private, never talking about her relationship with him, just by living folks knew something special was nearby. Irene would have done without anything if she was aware of someone in need that she could help. There were times in her life that she became so sad for others that it affected our lives, I never liked that one, however that was Irene.  I was 24, with a motorcycle in NYC, need I say more ? Typical but different in that I was very much a loner. Went into a church one night, sitting in the pews were 2 young ladies, Irene and her cousin. I selected her cousin, however since she had on what I thought was a wedding ring I turned attention to Irene. That was the beginning. Irene's family meant more to me than mine. I had a family, but everyone hated each other, I opted out of that one. I'm closing now, maybe there will be more later on. My son and I are going to make the final arrangements today, That won't take long as there will be no viewing.
I am very much loved by my sons family 3 girls 9,12, and 15 along with daughter in law want me to come and live with them or near them...I am leaning that way, mostly because, I know my son loves me as did his mother. It would be best to have me close rather than 300 miles away. Doing that will shut down my activities with my garden here. Family loves frsh vegetables and has giving me their yard to start SFGs....Can't beat that can I.  As the past 5 days has past I have this empty feeling and have no desire to proceed with things because Irene and I were a team. Now that team has been dissolved ( physically only ) and I must start a new beginning...love you all.

Beautiful photos, story and memories, Jimmy.  I'm so sorry for that empty feeling your have.  I don't know about losing a spouse, but personally I still talk with my deceased loved ones.  It feels to me like they are still with me all the time.  I hope you, too, can find that feeling if you desire it.

And maybe, once some time passes and you feel up to it, you'll plant Irene a beautiful memorial garden, veggie or otherwise, full of all of her favorite things.
I love you
Peace be with you and yours, and remember we're your online family and we're here for you.
