Nasty windy cold rainy day.  More like November than mid April.

Same here. We had rain, thunder, lightning, hail, and it stayed so cold we had a fire going all day long. Low in the mid 30s tonight. Then we get 3 whole days of spring before summer hits this Friday with highs in the 80s from now until it gets even worse. WAAAAA!  Sad

You would have thought I washed my car, but instead I planted some of the hot weather plants. Strong wind, rain and cold. It's 45*F at midnight here. PS: I did bring the tomato and pepper starts inside for the night.

Got down to 31 last night, but that's the last of the 30s. The rain is over, too, so now it's time to roll up my sleeves and get serious about my 2018 gardens.

Full blown brief but violent blizzard this morning...now just cold.  I have bare root stuff in the garage.  I have to get it in this weekend.  Just crazy.

We left for Toledo, OH last week.  While we were away, nighttime temperatures dropped into the 20s.  We arrived home today.  It's 70 degrees and sunny.  I checked the garden and found that the cool weather vegies (lettuce, spinach, peas, and radishes) are doing quite well. Very Happy    I had watered and fed the indoor seedlings before we left and they also are fine.   Very Happy

Scorpio, it was snowing yesterday as we left Toledo.  I wish I could send warm weather your way.

I hereby declare the end of winter-like weather here in Canada's capital. The city has put away the snowplows and the street sweepers are on the roads as evidenced by this one that just came past my house. I am so very happy. Then they came by a few minutes later with another vehicle that washed the street. Love to see my tax-payer dollars being put to work.
