Same here today. We could get up to 4 inches of rain today and the high temperature is expected to be no more than 63F. Horrible. This is becoming a lost summer.

Lost summer here, too -- for opposite reasons -- hot and dry. I have to water 2-3 times a day. Mad

55 and wet, just under an inch of rain. A real soaker, won't need to water tomorrow. The tomatoes and cucs aren't feeling the love, but the beans, cabbage, and beets are.

I'm seriously looking into a climate-controlled, year-round greenhouse. It's only 6x6 so it shouldn't be too expensive to heat/cool/light. I've already been heating and lighting it with no horrendous ding to the electric bill. If I could have lettuce, tomatoes, and cukes year round, regardless of the the weather, I would be a very happy camper. I love you

Environment Canada now says some areas in Eastern Ontario could get 200 mm (about 8 inches) of rain during this current ongoing storm.  Mrs TD and I were downtown this evening and we got drenched. The drive home was not easy either. The SFG beds may float out of the yard by tomorrow morning.

We ended up getting 79 mm (3.1 inches) of rain. Since April 1st we have received 700 (27.5 inches). Normal for that period is 266 mm (10.4 inches) and the old record set in 2009 for April 1 to July 30 was 480 mm (18.9 inches). There will be more rain between now and end of July so he old record is totally smashed.

Yes CC, we're in the same general area, and I just let the cat out onto the screened porch and checked the temp, and at 7am, it was 62 with a fresh breeze. It felt comfortable to me, but I don't think my tomatoes are very happy. They like it hot. I think it's that nor'easter they've been talking about.

Mid 80's with a light breeze. We have had no rain since mid June and none expected in the near future. Which is not unusual for these parts. The tomatoes are loving it and the tomatillos keep needing to be tied back. (First time I've grown them and they are huge!)

Just getting back to normal temps here.  60's at night and mid 80's daytime. We've had over 100*F and 115* heat index for day after day. About the only thing not burnt up yet is a few tomato's and peppers. Everything else is pretty  much gone.

I had a beautiful bed of carrots and all of the tops turned brown died. Oh well, about time to start planning for my fall garden anyway.

I find it a little strange. The huge in ground garden across the street has had the best tomato, corn and pepper crop they've had in years. The only water that garden gets is rain water, which has been very little..
 Hmmmmm....... thinking

It was 54!!! earlier on my back porch. And no humidity, bright blue sky. Supposed to get up to about 80 later on. I'm enjoying this little respite from our usual excessively humid, swampy weather, at this time of year usually around 90. That will all be back later this week. At least the tomatoes will be happy. cherry

We've had a warm but still moderate summer so far but it looks like we are headed for a change. Supposed to be in the 90's today and tomorrow then approaching 100 on Tuesday then mid 100's for a few days (record setting with a possibility of our all time high of 107) then cooling into the 90's. We had one 100+ in June none in July. Looks like I won't be able to skip any water days this week!

Beautiful day with clear blue sky and lots of sun. Actually it's a bit too hot for me out in the sun but I won't complain after the lousy first half of the summer.

Temperature is currently 30C or 86F and with the humidity it feels like 35C or 95F.

We took two of the grandkids to play miniature golf and the heat was almost too much for all of us. We had to seek out shade wherever we could find it. We paid for 18 holes and got another 18 holes free (there are two courses) but we could not finish the second round.

Till a few weeks ago we had good warm sunny summer weather .. then it deteriorated to rain almost every day as the  massive bush fires in Spain & Southern France  changed the rising heat patterns & put up  a massive blanket of smoke cloud dragging in  heavy moist air from the Med . Bay of Biscay & the Atlantic & dumping it over us .

The last 24 hrs have given us almost four inches of rain with as much if not more forecast for today .Stil it keps the grass green & me cool.

My grass here in central Ohio has also stayed green.  Between May and July it it was just reported it has been the wettest on record for 123 years.

About the same here in Ottawa, Ontario with record rainfall, green grass and struggling heat seeking plants.

We're breaking records here too, for heat. Hopefully today will be the last of the 110+ temps for this year. we are also experiencing night temps I've never seen before -- high 70s and even one 80 (but I don't think it happened in our yard). Rolling Eyes
