We're still rainy here, and will be for another couple of days. Friday thru Sunday should be perfect gardening weather. After that it looks like we might get a taste of cold weather. I have almost 2 dozen of those neat gallon jugs that I'm processing to use as mini greenhouses. My plan is to get them all planted this weekend and see if I can fool Mother Nature. Shocked

Did you get any snow up there this last Monday.  The Fayette County School System was closed on Monday.  The high was 31*F and they were afraid it would snow.  No snow, just cold.

Here we go with our crazy Ottawa weather.  Tonight freezing rain and a high tomorrow of +45F (+7C) ... yes way above freezing. Then by Sunday night we will be down to -13F (-25C). These temperature swings together with freezing rain and then regular rain are going to open up lots of potholes on city roads.  Last year, in the first two months of the year, the city fixed over 20,000 potholes.

Nope. Got some cold rain finally, but that was it. Gwinnett & Hall were closed too. What a waste.... But thankfully the student we had in just needed all bookwork. We didn't have to go out anywhere till the next day.

FLASH FREEZE WARNING here in Ottawa today. The current 9:16 am temperature is a balmy +53F (+12C). By this afternoon we will be below freezing and overnight down to 5F (-15C).  During the change to colder temps we will experience rain, then freezing rain, followed by up to 14 cm (5.5 inches) of snow. By Saturday overnight we will be down to -15F (-26C). Oh joy oh joy!

A lot of the snow we had on the ground has disappeared due to the above freezing temperature and rain over the past couple of days. I can actually see some of the side boards on my SFG beds.

Well, it got down to 17 deg last night, and started snowing about 10am. It has just now quit and we got 5 1/2 inches of SNOW! High of 27 today.
Got some good pics, now I have misplaced the transfer cable, will post some when I find it.

My strawberries ain't doin' nuthin', nohow! Sad I'll be looking for a different variety as soon as they're available. These are called "Farmer's Favorite" or something like that. What are yours?

I can't believe you guys are talking about strawberries blooming.
That's just wild!  And wonderful for we who are stuck in the throws of northern winter.

Warmish here today (well....relatively speaking).  Big rain coming but it's not snow...then back to the freeze.  Rolling Eyes

Yesterday we set a new record high temperature of +12C (+54F) for January 12 in Ottawa (the previous record was +4C or 40F). Since yesterday afternoon we had freezing rain, ice pellets and snow. I am headed outside now to shovel snow.

I'm one day behind you.  Doesn't seem fair to be out playing in the compost pile one day and then shoveling snow the next day.

So that's where our expected rain went to Razz Looking at Redding, Sacramento and Carmel Valley, it looks like rain in the northern half.

Just a little chilly in my area.  These temps are actually welcomed compared the previous few weeks.   We were going steady with -25C, feeling like -40c with the wind chill.  Then a couple days last week in the area of +5c, and now back to this.

Eagerly waiting for the summer temps to return.

Cold.  1/2 inch of snow.  We have now had a hurricane and two snows lay on the ground in south ms since I planted my very first ANSFG.  It’s 16 degrees here as I type this wich is also unusual.   I’m thinking and hoping great weather should be ahead.
