Grabbed my flashlight and my Optivisor for a closer look... and found one seed hull pushing up under a clump of mix!

Well, if you see one, that raises the probability of seeing the others soon. Cheers!

Oh - also... someone decided my SFG pals needed to see a photo of yours truly out in the garden, now that it's been remodeled.

It's so much easier to get around out there, now.

I like the knee pads.  I have a foam rubber kneeling pad but I always have to look all over the garden to find it.  Hmmmm.

I used to do the same thing, so I went and got the cheapest foam kneed pads I could find, just to see if they worked better for me. The ones I have now cost about $5 or so.

I really like not having to keep thinking about where I left the kneeling pad, and it's also easier to work through an area of the garden without having to stop and move the kneeling pad every time I move more than a foot or two. I'm a lot more agile moving around in the garden with the knee pads. When these wear out, I'll probably invest in some better ones.

CitizenKate, that's a nice garden area you've got!

I opted for a small plastic gardening bench to sit on. If I tried to kneel down, I doubt I'd be able to get back up, lol!

I use one of those rolling benches with the lid that opens for storage. We have 2 of them and really love them.

Well, all peppers are up except the coveted Mini Belle Mix.  Figures.  Next weekend tomatoes.  Most herbs up too.

I grow jalapenos every other year because I freeze so many!  They produce really well in my SFG!
No reliable tricks, but if the summer weather is hotter and drier they tend to be hotter as the capsaicin concentrates in the fruit.

Looks like the temperature will straighten out later this week and remain 60 ish and 50 ish for now. That will certainly bring the asparagus back up.  Come on Spring temps.
