New pics for June

Post  kamigh on 6/19/2017, 4:23 pm

Here are some new pics to show how things are moving along. Here's my row of eggplants.  They are a little chewed up but producing!

Listada eggplants (I think)

My pepper patch.  Way too many mini bells (why did I think I needed all those???) Much nacho jalapenos for stuffed jalapenos and salsa, hots for drying and paprikas for drying.

Some cayenne peppers waiting to get red.

More June Pics

Post  kamigh on 6/19/2017, 4:38 pm

Above is my out of control tomato area.  Two cherries (Sungold and Large red cherry) growing up the trellis and a paste and Juliet laughing at my feeble attempts to cage them.  More Texas tomato cages for next year!!!!  Next to that is my little spaghetti squash trying to grow under the tomatoes.  Below is me showing off my first two eggplants of the season - Traviata.  I crazily spent $6.95 for 20 seeds from High Mowing Farms but they have lived up to my expectations and then some.  Perfect, beautiful eggplants and I've got about 3 more growing on one plant now.

My much more tamed tomato patch using the Texas tomato cages.  Great yields and no problems finding all the tomatoes!

What a beautifully designed garden! I envy you such a flat and sunny area for your beds, you've taken good advantage of such a space. And those eggplants are gorgeous! Here in New England, we are way behind you, so I'll live vicariously through your garden for a while. Very Happy
