My early garden

Post  Judy McConnell on 6/18/2017, 12:23 pm

This is the left side of the beds seen from house, looking north" />
I'm going to TRY to show some pics of my current garden - everything is a bit late for Northern VA so some plants are small.  My first time using Photoshop to post here so bear with me:

Right side of beds showing grapes in background, strawberry bed in front

Well, the labels didn't show on the last several photos but you get the idea - there are 7 - 4x8' beds and several table tops

Beautiful!  I love looking at gardens surrounded by green. I love you Here, if we don't water it, it's brown and crispy. Sad I usually crop my pics to cut that out, but I left this one for you to see what I have so you can appreciate your own even more. This is my asparagus bed, surrounded by our "natural" landscape. Yes, this is normal. We moved to CA from GA during the summer. I hated it and was depressed for several months. Then I gradually started to cheer up and the light-bulb went on. I had been depressed because everything was brown. When the winter rains came and greened up the landscape, I cheered up. After that everything was okay. I knew what caused the problem and got used to 7 brown months every year. Rolling Eyes

Our son found a huge box of it at a yard sale for $5 brand new. It only looks good on one side, but I had enough of it to put the sections back-to-back and fasten them together. I have it all the way around the rescue garden and wish I had more.
