These do have critter damage on the other sides.  They were already damaged when I was putting on the stockings.

They are small so I will go read the “growing better tomatoes” thread right now;)

Size of the tomato generally depends on the variety of tomato grown.  Early Girl's are small, Brandywine are big.  What variety of tomato is this.

These are "Heatwave"  One could be celebrity.
OFF TOPIC:  I'm on my pc now and I see that my pics are sideways again.  I use my phone to take the photos.  I thought I had it figured out that when I locked the orientation to "portrait" that they would show up correctly on both mobile and pc.  Is that what I need to do?  I thought I had it locked, but I guess I could have taken the lock off and forgotten to put it back on before taking the last two posted pics.

The internet lists both Heatwave and Celebrity as 6-7-8 oz. Yours look about 6-7oz size to me.

First Celebrity. Hopefully has a better flavor and texture than the heatwaves.  It is a little larger.

Also critter damage free thanks to the pantyhose !

Harvested “Frankenmater” the Siamese tomato and a friend today.  Frank actually looks like he might turn out to be tasty!

Yeah Scorpio.  I did and it was pretty good.  I ended up having to cut it that evening.  I wanted to give it a couple days to ripen up some more, but my two year old got a hold of it and dropped it.  A small piece of the flesh tore off , so I figured it needed to be eaten right away.  Made Italian sandwiches with pickles and tomatoes from the ANSFG.

Lima Beans

Post  countrynaturals on 11/2/2017, 4:13 pm

Lima Beans! WOW! This was my first time growing these. Next year I'll plant twice as many. They're awesome, fresh. I assume they will also be good, dried. We'll try those, tomorrow. Very Happy

Yup, and this was especially sweet because I couldn't see that many pods at first, but the more I picked, the more I found. It was like magic. The little bowl I brought out was overflowing by the time I was done. It took almost an hour to shuck them all, and I wound up with a nice pile of "green" for the compost heap. I know that's no big deal for you Easterners, but out here, everything is always brown. Rolling Eyes

During the cleanup of the SFG beds today I harvested a few things including kale, chard, parsley, lettuce, thyme and baby carrots. I still have kale and chard outside in one of the beds but I expect the really cold (-12C, 10F) temps overnight will kill off those plants.

Had dried crock pot Lima beans tonight for dinner. They were really good, but can only imagine how fresh would taste!

Wow ! 10 degrees.  Can’t imagine.  It’s been 20 years since I lived in Boulder.  The last time I’ve seen temps that low. I do miss skiing, but not 10 degree temps. Some good looking salad makings you got there though.  I had 5 new baby tomatoes pop out today!  High 80.
