August Avatar: Beat The Heat!

Supposed to be 116 here today, so I'm a bit preoccupied with this topic.  Rolling Eyes Every day I look out the window and see various hens cooling off in the water bowl. Always good for a smile.

Squash bees are solitary, so it's friendly competition. It was early evening, so these are probably males - the females have nest burrows to tend/reside in. The males will sleep in the flowers overnight, so that sometimes when I pick up the folded up, dropped blossoms, they BUZZZ! affraid

I like your chicken soaking her feet. Makes me laugh. Laughing

Pretty, LM!  That's a great way to beat the heat...that and watching Dr Zhivago.

I'm still looking for my way,  but not feeling the love since we haven't had enough heat to try to beat yet.
