Franken-mato!!!

Post  hammock gal on Thu 17 Aug 2017 - 7:10

This is one of my Cherokee Purples. The others have been a little wonky shaped. But this one takes the cake! I know this is cat facing, but these scars look like they've been stitched together. It's a Franken-mato!!! affraid

This one isn't as big as the others, its about 6.5 oz. I haven't eaten this particular one yet, but yes, the other CPs were yummy. drooling  Countrynaturals, if it makes you feel any better, I'm zucchini deprived. Not a single one! And while I am getting a steady supply of tomatoes, it's not what I thought I'd be getting with 11 tomato plants. Uh oh. Am I sounding greedy? Embarassed

That one is pretty um, bumpy and deep ravines!  It will taste fine, just need to cut around the weirdness!  Might wanna use it in a salad, not slices!

LOL, yes I did have to do quite a bit of "surgery" on it before eating. But I was so fascinated by those scars looking like they were stitched together. I can't say that I've ever noticed that before. I'm going to have to keep my eyes open from now on to see if they're all that way when they're cat faced. Nature is amazing. What a Face
