Oregon City Newbie

Post  Henry50 on 8/19/2017, 12:14 am

Just got introduced to this via the old book.

On a very small lot in the older part of town with only a few square feet of actual growing space.  Been working on the garden plot for 20 + years and learned a few things about my space.

One thing I stumbled on this year is the advantage of mixing quick ripening cherry tomatos with longer ripening standard size ones.  The cherry tomatoes ripen first and then help start the standard ones ripening.  From plants I started indoors in March, I have just gotten into "Cherry tomato harvest" and had the first of my Brandywine tomatos today.  Sliced thin on cream cheese bed on a sliced plain bagel.

WAAAA! I'm so jealous of your tomatoes. That is the one crop I wanted more than any other and my worst failure every year, but I WILL NOT GIVE UP!
